The Team

Experienced clinicians and lecturers.

"What makes the course great is the delivery. We were lucky to have two patient, direct and funny teachers who guided us through the complexities with reasoning and perspective. You have both instilled a lot of enthusiasm and that rubs off on your students."  - Physiotherapist, Adult & Child Module, October 2016.

Janet Brindley BSc

Janet is the external assessor for the course and, as such, marks the coursework and case studies. Janet has a background in medical research. She was one of the first people in the UK to train as a Buteyko teacher and has been teaching Buteyko since 1999. As a life-long asthmatic Janet has experienced the benefits of the technique herself, making her a keen advocate. She is a founding member of the Buteyko Breathing Association and previously lectured on the teacher training course. Janet currently teaches Buteyko within adult education.

"I would like to thank both Gillian and Catherine for conducting a thoroughly informative and enjoyable course. They were so enthusiastic and evidently passionate about Buteyko and this shone through with their teaching. It has provided me with the tools to start implementing Buteyko into my practice."
