Claire & Charlotte are the course directors who have specialised in breathing pattern retraining. They lead Buteyko Breathing Method teacher training in the UK.

Claire is a clinical specialist respiratory paediatric physiotherapist with interest in breathing pattern disorders, asthma, exercise induced laryngeal
obstruction, anxiety, exercise and healthy living.
Charlotte, clinical academic physiotherapist and lead researcher at NHS sites in London, UK and Lecture at University in UK.
Charlotte is a clinical specialist respiratory physiotherapist and university lecturer
teaching on Physiotherapy undergraduate and post graduate courses. Charlotte’s clinical
specialism is in treating dysfunctional breathing including exercise induced laryngeal
obstruction.
Charlotte & Claire have published research in medical journals and contributed to
chapters in books, worked on BTS clinical statements and contributed to the NHS England severe asthma workstream.
They are founding members of a national collaborative of specialist physiotherapist within the UK (Kid’s Cornerstone Collaborative) working with children with asthma and/ or dysfunctional breathing to progress current clinical practice.

Teaching Buteyko Limited is a small company offering Buteyko Breathing Technique accreditation to allied healthcare professionals, doctors, nurses, osteopaths and dentists. Teaching Buteyko is connected to the British Buteyko Association (BBA). Teaching Buteyko Ltd operates primarily in the UK but offers virtual teaching internationally. This privacy policy will explain how our organisation uses the personal data we collect from you when you take part in the teaching courses we offer.

What data do we collect and why?
When you book onto our course our company collects the following data:
Personal identification information including:
Name, email address and phone number. This is so that we know your name and contact details to contact you with course materials and for questions ahead of the course starting, and submissions of course work once started on the course.
We check professional registration or evidence of professional qualification to ensure eligibility to enrol on this course. This course only runs for those with an undergraduate or post graduate healthcare professionals, this is to ensure the safe use of the Buteyko Techniques in a healthcare setting.
For those who are funding the course via their place of work, we may need to collect the name and information of workplace funding departments in order to complete purchase order forms to support this process.
During the course you submit work in order to complete all the elements of the course and to demonstrate the learning outcomes.
We also collect anonymous data at the end of the live course through feedback questionnaires.
How do we collect your data?
You directly provide Teaching Buteyko Ltd with most of the data we collect through contacting us about the course or via the booing and payment systems. We collect data when you:

Our company collects your data so that we can:

Process your order and book your place on the course

Email you with pre-course materials and weekly tasks during the live virtual course and post course work submissions.
If you are successful in achieving your accreditation with your permission, Our Company will pass your name and email details with The British Buteyko Association (BBA), and we will pay for your first year’s membership.
When Our Company processes your order, it may send your data to, and use the resulting information from, credit reference agencies or higher education providers to prevent fraudulent purchases.
Your post-course work submissions and case studies are externally marked before moderation. No personal details are shared with external markers. External markers are all registered with BBA.
How do we store your data?
Our company securely stores your data on a Gmail drive or secured D drive.
Our Company will keep your name, email, telephone number and course submissions for 12 months after the course has been completed (unless coursework extensions have been given). This is so that all post course work can be marked within the designated time frames for delegate accreditation.
Unless extensions to post-course work submissions have been granted after 12 months from attending a course your data will be deleted by permanently deleting from the Gmail cloud and D Drives.
Marketing
If you would like to hear about refresher courses after you have attended the accreditation course you can opt in to hearing about future events. Please let us know before the end of your course and we will keep your name and email to send details of our future services. We will not share this data with any other companies.
If you have opted in/ agreed to receive marketing, you can always opt out at a later date.
You have the right at any time to stop Our Company from contacting you for marketing purposes.

You have the right to request Teaching Buteyko for copies of your personal data. We may charge you a small fee for this service.
